Borneo Monster Photo. 100ft Snake Like Creature in the River Baleh.

Borneo Monster photos have surfaced and reporters are claiming that they real photographs of a 100ft snake swimming in the middle of the river Baleh in Borneo. The Borneo Monster is allegedly a creature of folk lore according to the local Borneo tribes. They call it Nabau, which is a shape shifting sea serpent. To me the photos look like a fake, and not even a good one at that. If you look closely at the photo you can see pixelation around the so called Borneo Monster, which is not consistent with the rest of the photo, this is a dead give away for a fake or photoshopped image. Also based on size indications of the tree on the shoreline, this object would be much larger than 100ft!

Here is the photo of the Borneo Monster. This snake like creature is taking the internet by storm, you be the judge whether it is real or a hoax!

Like the montauk monster, I have a feeling that this is just another viral marketing campaign, even though the montauk monster was never officially determined to be a fake. I guess only time will tell, who knows, maybe we will see a movie with the title, “Borneo Monster”, or “Montauk Monster”, or even a show down between the two Monsters called “Montauk Monster v. Borneo Monster”. Hopefully it will be better than Alien v. Predator!

Montauk Monster. Pug, Turtle, Raccoon. Yet another followup!

More montauk monster mayhem. Speculations as to what this thing really was are still turning up on the internet. The latest one that I saw was that the animal was a dog, more specifically a pug. The two pictures below are from http://forgetomori.com/2008/skepticism/montauk-monster-raccoon-or-pug/, and show a comparison of a pug next to the supposed “monster” that washed up on the beaches of Montauk. Note this is a different picture of the monster than in my previous posts, and is supposed to be the underside of the same creature.

If you look at this picture it is convincing at first glance, but when compared to the montauk monster picture in previous posts, you can tell that the paws and finger like digits don’t match a pug. The turtle theory has been all but debunked since they don’t have teeth. As of right now if this is a real animal, I am banking on raccoon. However I still believe this is merely a hoax, and part of a large viral marketing campaign that has been exucted to perfection – Bravo viral guru, Bravo! Let the rampant speculation continue…

Montauk Monster Raccoon? A Follow-up Story…

Over the last couple days, the internet community as a whole has developed many theories as to what the “montauk monster” really is or if it is even a real creature or not. The most appealing to me has been the theory of a decomposed raccoon… Now I know what you are saying, but the following picture courtesy of animachina.com seems to paint a pretty good argument for this possibly being a raccoon if it is indeed a real photo of a real animal found on the beaches of montauk.

Now I am not saying this is definitive proof, but it is the best explaination yet besides it being a latex creature set up for a publicity stunt.

I will post more information as it becomes available.

Other strange things have been showing up on the shores of Long Island as well…

Ok well maybe this one is a hoax, but who wouldn’t want to see a bull mastifrus?

Montauk Monster Like Creature Washes Up On Beach – Hoax or Reality? You Decide!

I was sitting in the office today in between patients and my secretary came in and said to me, did you see the Montauk Monster pictures yet? Of course I had not, so I had to do a little research on the subject. After a few quick google searches, I found alot of information pertaining to a supposed monster-like creature that had washed up on the beaches of Montauk, Long Island, NY.

Here’s how the story goes: someone was walking in front of a restaurant when they spotted something dead on the beach, they went down to check it out and soon there was a crowd developing. The person snapped a quick photo and some guy came down and carted the creature off before anyone else could get a shot of it. The guy was “quoted” as saying he was going to mount this monster like creature on his wall…

With this photo being “released” there has been a lot of speculation as to whether this is a hoax, or whether it is some new species yet to be discovered… Stories have ranged from this being an experiment that went wrong at the Montauk Government facility to a turtle without its shell. On the other spectrum, skeptics have called this a photoshopped viral marketing piece for a company, an x-files movie promotion, or something to promote a new tv show called plum tv.

My vote is that this is clearly a photoshopped monster - there is no size reference in the picture, there is only one shot of the monster, and the shadows appear to not match up. I bet we will see this hoax uncovered in the next couple days. What do you think? Leave me a comment below!
