			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>More montauk monster mayhem. Speculations as to what this thing really was are still turning up on the internet. The latest one that I saw was that the animal was a dog, more specifically a pug. The two pictures below are from <a title="montauk monster pug photo" href="http://forgetomori.com/2008/skepticism/montauk-monster-raccoon-or-pug/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/forgetomori.com');" target="_blank">http://forgetomori.com/2008/skepticism/montauk-monster-raccoon-or-pug/</a>, and show a comparison of a pug next to the supposed &#8220;monster&#8221; that washed up on the beaches of Montauk. Note this is a different picture of the monster than in my previous posts, and is supposed to be the underside of the same creature.</p>

<p>If you look at this picture it is convincing at first glance, but when compared to the <a title="montauk monster photo" href="http://ifishct.com/blog/2008/08/02/montauk-monster-like-creature-washes-up-on-beach-hoax-or-reality-you-decide/"  target="_blank">montauk monster</a> picture in previous posts, you can tell that the paws and finger like digits don&#8217;t match a pug. The turtle theory has been all but debunked since they don&#8217;t have teeth. As of right now if this is a real animal, I am banking on raccoon.  However I still believe this is merely a hoax, and part of a large viral marketing campaign that has been exucted to perfection &#8211; Bravo viral guru, Bravo! Let the rampant speculation continue&#8230;</p>
