Coco Key Waterbury, CT is a great place for birthday parties!
For those of you that missed my first post, Coco Key Waterbury CT, is a brand new Water Resort and Indoor Water Park at the Holiday Inn on East Main Street, Waterbury. The park is having its grand opening this Thursday night (October 3rd), and is currently booking birthday parties.
I was lucky enough to get an early invite to the water park before the grand opening, and after spending some time there I can tell you that it is simply amazing! If you have kids and you want them to have the birthday party of a lifetime, take them to Coco Key! It is in your best interest to contact them early as a representative from the park has informed me that birthday times are booking fast! Since the park is just opening they are offering some great deals on birthday party packages as well as stay and play packages.

I just recently visited Coco Key and was very disappointed ( New Years Eve Day). When my daughter and I get to the waterpark, which was not much after their opening time, there were no lockers available. We were told to leave our stuff at either a table or in the very tiny cubby holes that were inside the waterpark. For the amount of people that the waterpark can hold there should have been a lot more lockers available. The staffing was insufficient to handle the volume of people who were trying to order lunch at the waterpark’s snack bar, we would have had to wait about an hour to get lunch, like most children my daughter could not wait that long. The restaurant that is in the hotel was understaffed and could not handle serving those who wanted to eat there either, which I also heard from other parents who were there the same day. Maybe it was just a bad day to go to the waterpark, but it doesn’t make me want to return any time soon because it was not a real good experience for myself or for my daughter.

Thanks for the comment on your recent trip to Coco Key Water Resort in Waterbury CT. My guess is that the park was extremely busy being it was a holiday time, and they probably had some call outs from the staff. I don’t have any affiliation with the water park or the hotel, but can understand your feelings.
Hopefully your kids had some fun on the water slides, and maybe next time things will run smoother for you and your family!
